MARION LAKE, ALBERTA CANADA

Nothern end of Banff National Park

With spring fever coming and looking at these views, no wonder I day dream of the day for a beautiful hike or back pack trip. It gets me away from all the hustle and bustle of our daily routine (that wonderful job, house/yard work, the normal hum drum of our daily routine), even if it means I’ve used muscles that haven’t been used before, it’s worth it all!!!

This reminds me of when my family would go on hike and stop to see the wonderful view while having lunch or a snack

Hiking/back packing is great exercise and rewarding with all the beautiful surroundings, listening to the birds singing and the little creatures scurrying around. To enjoy your venture you should consider doing some planning, especially the beginner.

It’s best to plan your trail,
Browse Hiking Trails by Region, will give you some ideas of the length of the trail, will this be a day hike or an overnight with camping (for those who are more adventurous). You may want a topographical map giving you a better idea of the valleys and ridges of the trail Unlimited access to topo maps. Try it free!

The next thing to consider after you’ve planned your great venture is the gear and accessories.

Today’s fabrics have come a long way from when I went on my first hike in Banff and Johnson Canon, they are breathable and move the moisture away from you body. To view and purchase the right clothing, foot gear and accessories for your venture visit
